We are undergoing a beta test of a new service for our VIP clients that have successful pick records.  This program is by INVITATION only so please don’t contact us about marketing for your site unless you have been a valued customer of ours for over 6 months.

This telemarketing service is a pay for performance service where we take all the risks. We will have a caller that will sell your site(s) services and they will act as your sales agent.  Our telemarketing agent is highly experienced in the lingo of handicapping and will exclusively manage the accounts side of this customer.  You make money by selling to us access to your site at a discounted price and we will mark the price up to make our profit.  The key is that the price must be discounted enough so that even after we mark it up it is still lower than your retail advertised price.   Otherwise nobody will buy from us and we wouldn’t pursue it.

We obtain customer leads from the numerous lead generations sites we run (https://blog.ezcapper.com/2010/06/advertising-opportunities-on-our-tips-sites/) and the cost of this operation is quite high which includes sales people, telecommunication costs and administration.  We also generate leads daily from our free sites such as Wagersim.com.

You need to provide basic information to us about your site’s history, the results (historical and recent) and retail costs.  Most importantly we will need to know the cost you will offer us on a daily, weekly, monthly, 3 month, 6month, 12 month period.  Please note that as this is a pay-for-performance service, where we are taking all the risks, we do not accept all clients that inquire.  We will only work with those sites that we can make money on and this will depend upon their results and pricing plus their history with us.  We reserve the right to discontinue marketing your service at any time and we have no obligation whatsoever to continue market your service should we not be making money.

We will tele-market our prospects based on the information you give us.   The customer we sell is to be exclusively under our account management.   The customer will pay us directly and all payments going forward for that customer will be handled by us.  Any customer issues regarding payment MUST be forwarded to us directly.  If you attempt to charge this customer or cross sell this customer on other sites or services, we will stop working with you immediately.  This is to prevent any conflict of interest.

How can I make money operating 2 or more handicapping sites?

How to change the Tracked Records Duration

Despite what some handicappers claim (I’ve seen them all), nobody wins all the time week in and out. It simply does not happen and never will. Now the problem that many inexperienced cappers fret over is that if they can’t win every week how are they going to make money and stop customers from leaving?

Why would I need 2 or more sites?

Simply put you cannot get new customers when your most recent results (ie. 5, 10 or 30 days) are not above roughly 58%.  For example, say you engage a customer in a 5 day free trial, the results during those 5 days need to be better than 58% otherwise you’ll not see a lot of conversions.   Now if you have only 1 site then the probability of this happening is decent.  However if you have 2 sites (assuming that your picks are not the exact same) this probability should be even higher.

It’s the same theory as flipping coins.  If you have only one set of 10 coins and put them all into a cup and dropped them on the floor, the probability of getting 6 heads or more is a set percentage (~40% of the time).  But the more times you repeated this, the the higher the probability you would get 6 heads or more on any one roll, correct?  It’s just simple math.  A professional marketer would only promote only the instances where  6 heads or more during the coin flip.  As a sports handicapper you would promote only those instances where your results are positive.  The coin rolls correspond to the trial periods.  The more trial periods and sites that are available the higher the probability you would get a good result during any period.

The secrets of the trade are this:

  1. Make different picks on one site than another. Don’t use the same picks on both sites.   Make sure the picks are not correlated either.  It’s unlikely that both sites will turn out bad results.
  2. Stagger the marketing periods if possible. If you are doing a free trial for 1 site during the first week of the month, switch to the other site for the 2nd week. This way you’ll always have something successful to market. The key is ‘successful’, you need to have a trial or recent results that are good. Those customers will convert to paying customers.
  3. When you go on a bad streak don’t worry about it. Just hold off for a short period on marketing it until the tracking period on your site expires and is reset to zero. You can try again.

Other Key points of operating 2 or more sites

  1. Make sure that it’s not the same person operating the two sites otherwise it defeats the purposes.  The sites should have different picks, different strategies of making picks, different everything.  The whole point of having two sites or more is to create an entirely different personna.  This includes the sport type, the frequency of the picks, design style, the about us, pricing plans, the telephone number everything!
  2. Use different marketing strategies for each site.  If you are using email to acquire customers for one, try posting on forums for the other.  The key to success is to vary the strategies and find out which one works best.  By having multiple sites you get to do that.
  3. Track different periods.  If you’re tracking the last 30 days for one site try 7 days for the 2nd site.  See what works the best and make sure the strategy is conducive to your availability and business model.

Updating Picks and Advertising Your Picks Effectively to Existing Users and Prospects

Updating Picks and Making Picks

The general rule of thumb for updating the picks on the sites is to have at least 6 months of past history.  Make sure you follow these general rules:

  • Don’t be a jack of all trades.  Nobody believes in a capper who can pick all the sports, focus on being good at one or two sports and make that clear that you are an expert in those sports.  Anybody who claims they are a jack of all trades is most likely to be perceived as a liar.
  • Make picks regularly to match the value of the site.  What people hate the most is to pay a relatively high price for somebody who makes only 1 pick a week.  Customers don’t see the value in that.   Most customers also can’t perceive that a low number of picks may equate to a higher quality.  Try to appeal to the common customer’s mindset.
  • Detailed Game Writeups:  A lot of cappers just say “Yankees will win” or something totally lacking in detail.  If you are going to make a pick make sure you add enough detail so you sound somewhat intelligent.  Nobody likes a capper who appears to be a psychic who looks to the stars for his inspiration.  In general customers trust cappers that have a rationale mind.  Use statistics, injury reports, trends as a basis for your write-ups rather than strange stuff that may not make sense.

How to Advertise your Picks

  1. Make Weekly reports: Do a simple weekly summary that summarizes your past weeks’ picks and include the past month and past 6 months’ statistics.  Make sure you include not only the winning % but the # of units you are up for those periods.  Make sure that weekly summary includes a direct URL link to the website and also the About Us page.  Backlinks on forums are a great form on SEO for the sites.Try to make your write-ups interesting yet concise.
  2. Setup posting IDs on Cappers Forums and Posting Weekly Summaries: Create an ID matching the identity of the sites you are posting on.   For example if your site name is ATSInsider.biz  then create a username preferably with the url included in the name (e.g. “atsinsider.biz”).  If the forum doesn’t allow you to do this then use something close.  Make sure you setup a signature file that matches the site.   For a list of forums refer to https://blog.ezcapper.com/2010/07/listing-of-cappers-forums/ .Please create and edit the master  spreadsheet of the forums and the identities by clicking here .  Make sure you post consistently on a weekly basis.
  3. Send to existing users and new prospects: Place the summary into the 2nd sheet on the above and I will send them to the existing customer database on a weekly basis as well as to potential customers as promotional materials.
